Bollard Up the Tree
Yering Station Sculpture Exhibition Awards 2018
Polystyrene, glue, sand, cement, oxides, aluminium, 68cm3.
The material paradox of a 3-ton bollard up a living tree asks us to examine our assumptions about the social, political and material world.
Making a direct reference to John Kelly’s Cow Up a Tree sculpture this installation also refers to William Dobell’s role of painting camouflage cows during WW2.
